When I was a child, I had gone fishing just after dawn, by myself to a neighbor’s pond, where I sat at the water’s edge and dropped a line quietly into the water.  It was the first time I saw wild deer up close.  A doe and her two fawns moved cautiously out of the high grass and mist.  Since I was fishing I was very still, so didn’t startle them, and we shared a mutually curious pause regarding each other.  A truly magic moment for me!
