Rancho Verde is conveniently located near the Georgia O'Keefe House Museum, Ojo Caliente Mineral Hot Springs, Abiquiu Lake, Bandelier National Monument, and El Santuario de Chimayo. It is situated within an hour's drive to Santa Fe and Taos. Hiking and mountain biking trails are just minutes away.
“This place was such a gem! It was a really special experience staying in a barn house which had lots of western-themed decor. I loved the well stocked kitchen, seeing the stars at night, and seeing the horses in the morning! It felt very spacious, comfortable, and also memorable!”
The space
Though all the usual amenities are provided, it is rustic and "real".....surrounded by horses, cows and ranch life.
Guest access
Guests are welcome to walk down to the river and visit the bosque treehouse next to the river, which has a porch and is a nice place to watch the sunset. For a good hike, the Santa Fe National Forest is right across from our driveway entrance and has many good trails to follow.
Other things to note
Rancho Verde is a real working ranch. We have 3 ranch dogs and numerous horses that are trained and ridden daily. New Mexico can get hot and dry in summer, and we do get snow in the winter; it is all part of the experience. We live with nature and do our very best to live up to your expectations.
